Abstrak

The advancement of digital technology has brought significant changes across various fields, including the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage travel sector. However, many travel agencies have not yet utilized technology optimally, particularly in developing user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) designs. Aretha Tour & Travel is one such company that currently lacks a mobile application with a modern and responsive UI/UX design. This study aims to design the user interface and user experience of the Aretha Tour & Travel application using the Design Thinking approach, which consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and the distribution of the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire to 30 respondents. The results of the empathize and define stages provided a deeper understanding of user needs, while the ideate and prototype stages were used to create interactive visual designs. During the testing stage, the average SUS score obtained was 76, categorized as “good” and “acceptable.” This score indicates that the resulting design provides an optimal user experience and meets aspects of usability, efficiency, and comfort. This research contributes to the development of digital systems that are more user-oriented, particularly in the context of pilgrimage travel services.
