Abstrak

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the condition of the capital market after the announcement of Covid-19 in Indonesia, namely by comparing stock prices and stock trading volumes before and after the report of Covid-19 by the government in all publicly traded companies. In addition, this study analyzes how stock prices and stock trading volumes are after the Covid-19 announcement. This type of research is quantitative. This research is also included in a comparative study by comparing stock prices and stock trading volumes. The population in this study are all companies that go public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique is purposive sampling wherein determining the sample based on the registered criteria in the period February and March 2020. The number of samples in this study was 679 companies consisting of 11 sectors. The type of data in this study is quantitative sourced from secondary data obtained through the website www.IDX.co.id. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistical analysis first. Then the normality test was carried out using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and then a different test using a non-parametric test, namely the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed significant differences in the price and trading volume of shares of companies that went public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange before and after the announcement of Covid-19 in Indonesia.
