Abstrak

In a company, one of the indicators used to see the financial condition of a period is profit growth. This study aims to determine the effect of profitability ratios, namely ROA (Return On Assets), ROE (Return On Equity), and NPM (Net Profit Margin), on profit growth in finance companies. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sampling technique called purposive sampling. This study uses secondary data sources obtained from the financial reports of nine finance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017–2021 period. The data processing and analysis method used in this study is panel data regression with the best selected model, namely the FEM (Fix Effect Model) using the Eviews application version 12. The results showed that simultaneously, ROA (return on assets), ROE (return on equity), and NPM (net profit margin) have a significant effect on profit growth. Partially, ROA (Return On Assets) has a negative and significant effect on profit growth, ROE (Return On Equity) has a positive and significant effect on profit growth, and NPM (Net Profit Margin) has a negative and insignificant effect on profit growth.
